Peter Wood - Arizona Ambassador

After a bad stint with the clarinet Peter made the switch to percussion, and since that time there has been no looking back. Peter was a performer & staff member of Arizona's first Independent World Class drumline, Momentum Percussion Theatre, who were WGI Finalists in2003 and 2004.

Peter has taught rudimental drumming to students of all ages, from a youth drumline at the Gilbert Boys & Girls Club for kids ages 6-12, all the way up to Percussion Independent World (PIW) finalists and everything in-between. Peter is currently the Percussion Caption Head for Williams Field HighSchool in Gilbert, AZ, as well as presently serving his second term as the Percussion Liaison for WGAZ’s executive board.

In Addition to his percussive life, Peter owns & operates his own insurance agency, serves as the president NAIFA- East Valley, and has a beautiful wife, Cassandra, & two amazing sons, Collin and Peter.



Roberto Paz - Arizona Ambassador

Currently, Roberto is the Director of Bands for Rhodes Jr. High in Mesa and he teaches, writes, and coordinates for the Sun Devil Marching Band at Arizona State University. Roberto is an active clinician and arranger throughout the country as well as the owner of Paz Music which offers online lessons to students all over the world. Roberto Paz is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Music Education. Roberto has an extended amount of experience with marching percussion as a former member of The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps and the Concord Blue Devils. He is endorsed by Remo Drumheads, Lot Riot and Mapex Drums.



Shilo Stroman - Colorado Ambassador

Shilo is adjunct instructor of Percussion and Jazz at Colorado State University where he teaches lessons, freshman percussion ensemble, drumline, Jazz Pedagogy and conducts the Jazz combo program. Mr. Stroman is also very active in the marching arts and has worked with the Blue Knights World Percussion Ensemble, Longmont High School and currently with Fossil Ridge High School, Loveland High School, Dakota Ridge High School and The Battalion Drum and Bugle Corp.

Jimmy Madonia - California Ambassador

Jimmy Madonia is a classically trained musician, coming from the orchestral string world as both a cello and upright bass player. Playing music since fourth grade, he began his percussion journey during his junior year of high school and has continued for over 15 years. Jimmy recently moved to Southern California after teaching and writing for many programs in the area including Basha HS, Highland HS, and Casa Grande Union HS to name a few, as well as Paragon (PIO) and Mosaic Percussion (PIO). He was also on the WGAZ (Winter Guard Arizona) Board of Directors from 2010 to 2014 in the roles of Percussion Director/Liaison and Percussion Judges Coordinator.

Currently, Jimmy is the Front Ensemble Coordinator at POW Percussion, teaches and designs for a few local programs and continues to write, consult, and design for programs in Arizona. He is also an active clinician and judge. He is a member of the Vic Firth Educational Team, a Remo artist, and lives in Anaheim, CA.
