Tucker Ward, a Trombone Performance major at Azusa Pacific University, has been playing trombone for eleven years. From an early age he found music an integral part of his life, and when the option to pick up the trombone appeared, the path was clear. Since then, Tucker has had the opportunity to perform in many settings, from marching bands to jazz bands to being centerstage as part of musical theatre productions. He owes his skill to a number of incredible teachers and role models in the world of music, particularly the one who first showed him the trombone, his grandfather John Ward Sr., a professional musician in his own right. Tucker is aiming for a career as a freelance trombonist, specifically the studio recording world, but especially enjoys passing on his love of music to the next generation.
